Sisterhood 2001-2002 Kickoff Meeting
Thursday, September 6, 2001
6:00 P.M. Covered Dish and Bunko

Join the ladies of Sisterhood for the 2001-2002 year at our kickoff event on Thursday, September 6, 2001. A fun evening of potluck dinner and Bunko has been planned. This year’s "Calendar of Events" will be
distributed and membership dues of .00 will be collected. Please call Sheila or Marian by September 1, 2001 for your reservation.
We think this will be the best year for the ladies of Mateh Chaim so join

Men's Club
The Men's club once again has planned another great year of non-meetings. The men take on various tasks throughout the temple such as painting the walls, set up and take down walls for High Holy Days and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, and selling hot dogs at the Purim
Carnival as well as presenting Bar/Bat Mitzvah students with a gift on their special day. The first “meeting” will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2001 as the men build the Sukkah beginning at 10:00 AM. Dues for membership are .00 and can be paid to Barry at any time. We look forward to all the men of the congregation joining this great group.

Havurah
We had a great Havurah Dinner and social in May. Dinner was at the La Tazza Ristorante and 28 people attended. The Flacks were in Europe and were missed, as well as Bertha - Audrey’s Mom. Sandy and David were also away and they too were missed.
We had a new couple join us, Irene and Harold, friends of Tommy and the Becks.
Betty Ann and Monroe were our Host and Hostess. After dinner 20 of us went back to the Temple to have coffee and cake, provided by Betty Ann and Monroe.
Those who were not able to join us really missed a wonderful social. We also had a short meeting. It was decided that we would meet at 6:00 o'clock from now on, and the days will be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
On June 24th, the Havurah Group met and had a wonderful time at Sweetwaters Restaurant. Dinner was excellent. Our Host and Hostess were Sandy and David. There were only 22 of us but each and every one of us had a great time talking and eating. The 50-50 was won by Sybil. Five of our group had anniversaries in the month of June, Bunny and Stan on the 7th, Betty Ann and Monroe on the 15th, Stan and Fay on the 25th. Sybil and Bart on the 26th, and Betty and Marvin on the 29th. We had a lot of June Brides!
Next month our Host and Hostess will be Alma and Louis. We welcome new members, if you are over 55, and wish to join us, contact Alma. We have many people who are single, so do not keep yourself away because of that!
